It really look like College Daze. Um... So may be you can make it different... something like true female domination ,some netorare or transformation(MC).
It honestly depends on the audience’s preferences because I know some people are not into heavy female domination; if I do add it, I might have to create and separate some light femdom from the heavy stuff. I am not sure if I will add netorare to this game, but further up the line, I might introduce sharing content. Transformation is something I do have in mind though, don’t worry, and I know just how to add it.

Okay, I did not think I would have to elaborate on this, but apparently, it is important that I do.

Is it inspired by College Daze? Obviously. I am not trying to hide it. But, saying that I am stealing content, or that this is a rip off with only two in-game days is a total ignorance on your parts. I have big plans for this, and I already have the layout of my story planned. Now, I haven’t played CD in a while, but I assure you that the story is very different.

Also, note that I am very new to coding. I wasn’t really interested in it; I just wanted to create a game. So before starting anything, I looked for the most popular HTML games to get a good idea of what people can enjoy and to learn how to create and write.

Lastly, this is a prototype. According to Google, a prototype is an early sample, model, or release of a product built to test a concept or process. In other words, I did not even introduce the story yet. I’m getting the gist of what you guys think about a porn game that revolves around superpowers.

Thanks for reading and sorry for making this long.

If I can give some constructive criticism/feedback.
I cant say people are wrong in saying it's a cop/rip-off from College Daze, at least as it's now, both the magic/skill system and the initial gameplay days are very much the same.
If you're using this as a protoype to figure out the programming and workings behind it than that's more than fine, if you intend to remake it from the ground with your own story later on.
I'd say in broad sense the magic system is fine as even College Daze is not the first to do something similar to that, imo of course.

If this is how you plan to do it, it might help to add that description to the frontpage, naturally everyone wont read it so similar comments might still appear.
You could even include that people could leave tips in what kind of content/mechanics and such they would like to see that they've been missing from other games if you wanna get a better understanding what other have liked/disliked about the more popular games.

For example I would say I wanna see it using open world rather than so linear story focused, as I like to explore as much as I can and not miss out on content.

Keeping an EYE on this really like College Dazes not personally interested in Female Domination but I'll still watch your Progress I keep actively looking for fun games to play. I salute you I tried playing with Twine however I have no real coding skills myself. Thanks for your work I can really appreciate any effort into making a game. Good Luck

I am not saying that they are wrong, but I did specify that this is a prototype. I did not start the storyline yet; the only crucial plot points are the two dreams. But yes, I get what they mean. Like I said, the only reason I released a two-day gameplay was to get an idea about what you think about superpowers in general. This is NOT the start of the actual story. But yes, I am planning on changing the start of the game now that people have cleared up how very similar it is to the point of rip-off. Thank you for your comment and your recommendation; it helped me reflect on the things that need to change.

P.S.
The problem with a sandbox / open-world gameplay is that it might get difficult for me to code. A linear story is a lot easier for me to be honest. However, as soon as I think I got the hang of it, I will add an open world mode for those who would prefer it.

Thank you, Druid64! I actually failed with Twine a few times before I got the hang of it; I still have a lot to learn to be honest. You should have seen my coding process. It was a mess. Also, I will never force any content upon you; female domination is optional, as well as any fetishes I will introduce.

P.S.
I’m not into female domination either. :ROFLMAO:
But, my plan is to cater to everyone’s wants and needs. We’re all into different things after all.

Commenting so I can keep an eye, might try this out. Not sure if now or when it is further down the line.

Edit: I gave it a quick go... It didn't use my family name that I put on the first screen anywhere in the text, even though I typed taboo. I'd also like the option to rename the others in the game... there is a surname used that caught me off-guard and errm, I'd prefer to replace it with something else for my own playthroughs.
Just fyi; You can also keep an eye on a thread without posting. The "watch" button, furthest right immediately above the OP and below the rating stars, will have the same effect.

I would appreciate if you read the “dev notes” before commenting. Have a nice day!
I wouldn't worry too much about what others have to say. Keep working on what you want to achieve and do it. For what it's worth I don't mind the opening being similar to College Daze if the story branches.

Thank you, RKM! This was really nice to read. Well, this is still a prototype, and I want to know and hear what others have to say, even if their comments might seem rude or insulting. Thank you so much for your comment though!

Please please do not try to cater to everyone's tastes. If you try to cater to certain tastes because you think it will grow your community, or game or whatever, you will only succeed in driving away people that don't like that sort of content. Having an option to not experience that content helps, but it isn't a catch all. It is better to make the game that you want to make, with the content that you want to put in it.

I don't know if I can articulate this well. But I'll try to explain my understanding of the issue here. The first issue is, if the material in question is not something that you are interested in, are you really going to enjoy making this game once you are having to find scenes for that content, write it out, etc? If someone is not gay, for instance, would it not be challenging them to look up gay vids and write gay scenes? And if it is challenging, would you still be able to have passion for this project after six months of researching, implementing, and writing these things that don't appeal to you?

I like tags such as rape, slavery, male domination, etc. You should absolutely not make this game catering to my whims, unless those topics are things that interest you as well. Otherwise you will probably only burn yourself out.

If you are going to try to implement content based on requests, do it by poll where the larger community can easily tell you their thoughts. Because if you go by what you see people asking for in the comments, a very small but very vocal community will try to guide the development of this game toward their whims - which would actually drive away a lot of others.

Having the option to filter out certain content in the game can help with that, but there are still hard filters for a lot of people. So I just encourage you to make the game you want to make, the way you want to make it. Or, if you do decide to take the community's voice into account, then it would be best to do that via polls so that small groups don't make themselves look more popular than they are.

Anyway, I don't know if I articulated this well.

Do not worry! I am not planning on adding every fetish or content that is requested of course, and by no means will I add something I find repulsing or hard to write. I am just implying that everyone's requests will be heard and thought of but not necessarily granted.

And yes, if I do encounter an unorthodox or unliked request that I think would suit the game, I will create a poll, taking everyone's opinions and preferences into account. As I mentioned, I will never force content upon the players, but the same rule goes for me as well! Thank you so much for trying to clarify and warn me about this, spyder!

I would appreciate if you had a game before posting your glorified begging patreon. Have a nice day!
Yes! You finally got the idea. I do not have an official game yet; this is what a prototype essentially means. I hope I could change your mind about the "game" in the next release! Thank you and have a nice day too!

Cyaneuz I don't usually do this but sometimes things need to be said:
Everybody complaining about the similarities between one game and another need to keep something in mind the current year is 2024!! Every single song book movie and game is going to be taking elements from one proceeding them it is impossible not to in this day and age. One should not look for the similarities but the differences even subtle ones to enjoy things.

Here I already stated I have no talent for coding yet if some of you do then you should know elements of your code will be taken and adapted from something someone else before you already achieved.

We should not attack creative people about these things in this age we should appreciate that they try to make something pleasurable for us. That is a real challenge for many people with less creative minds.

MY Apologies Cyaneuz I felt that needed to be said.

That's the thing! I've always been a fan of heroes and villains, DC and Marvel, superpowers, and all that sci-fi / fantasy stuff; you get the idea. Not in a nerdy making-it-my-whole-obsession way though. I've always wanted to create a game revolving around superpowers or at least, playing a major part in the story, even before I knew adult and erotic games existed. But then, I discovered that they do, in fact, exist, so I thought "why not join the developing community and incorporate superpowers into an erotic game".

I'm not trying to share my life story. I'm trying to make a point: why would I waste my time and energy learning code just so I can copy or rather "steal" another's work? All I want is for people to understand that the story branches. Hell, the story was not even introduced yet. Anyways, I already decided that I will change how it starts, and I already have an idea in mind.

You should not apologize for this, and again, thank you so much for understanding and attempting to help people understand as well, Druid!

This is my take on, because you wished for some feedback. It reminds me very much of a different game on this site (college daze), but you did tag this one sandbox which is my main draw to games. so i hope after the introdutory part, the game opens up and we can freely pursue the girls we wish for, instead of having a choice based VN.

I understand that there is a demographic that likes to play through a game several times to unlock different paths and endings. But i myself dont enjoy that.. i rather have 1 playthrough where i can 100% the game. because to me, that would be MY story, with every choice i did, i did it cause it fit my personality and how i like the story to play out. doing a multiple playthroughs kinda game just doesnt suit me.. because then my mind is wired to pick choices not for my story, but for finishing specific paths. which takes me out of the immersion a bit.

For the part that is out currently, its very well written and very well polished. the storytelling explains what it needs to and introduces characters in a fair pace. if you keep this quality up with the writing and narration of the story, then regardless of which path you take. i think it will succeed. especially if you manage to do this and keep the updates flowing at a steady pace too.. especially for patreon, i think all backers would love to have 1 update every month to justify their monthly support. What bothers me with some great games is that they sometimes use 3-6 months to update but the content is burned through in minutes.. how am i supposed to remember what i was doing for 5-10 minutes 3 months ago.
